Message from the Chairman, Dr Michael Ford
Welcome to the Association's website! This site is designed to give you information about the Association easily and speedily. We are trying to update the site every month in order to attract non members to the Association and to ensure ongoing interest in its activities. Feel free to make contributions to the site through the Website Manager as it becomes more interactive. Please consider attending one of our reunions, where there will be opportunities to enjoy conversation, comradeship and good food with similarly minded people with BFES-SCE experiences.
If you already belong to the Association, then please feel free to contribute to the site by contacting Glyn Pascoe, our Website Manager.. If you do not already belong, contact our Membership Secretary, Joan Hunt, who will send you all necessary details. Tell your friends and former colleagues about the Association and this website, and please consider contributing to the Association's activities. It exists for you! I hope you are able to attend one of the many re-unions this year - for details please see the Events Page.

The Association has several hundred members, the vast majority being former (and some serving) teachers, but also including some former advisors, administrators and educational psychologists. Most members now live in the UK but many are elsewhere in the world.
The Association's archive (Page now updated April (2012) contains multifarious items, including documents, photographs, records, memorabilia and artefacts. This archive is constantly being added to and is proving of great interest to historians as well as to members of the Association. With a large number of schools currently closing due to the reduction of bases (particularly in Germany) we would ask staff in those schools to send log books, photographs, documents etc to the Association's Archivist as part of your close down procedure. This material has a significant historical interest for the future.
